Lake Characteristics
My ancestors settled there in the mid 1800's. The lake was referred to as Bartlett Lake. At the turn of the century my uncle had a stone quarry at the south end of the lake, where they mined feldspar and shipped it to Rochester New York. He had a log cottage at the bottom end of the lake. Over the years the lake has developed with now approximately 75 to 80 cottages and was renamed Salmon Trout Lake. This lake has become very desirable with cottage purchasers.
